Application and Handling
Surfaces must be clean and dry. Use isopropyl alcohol as cleaner on both surfaces. If oxidized, sanding may be required. Bond strength depends on surface area in direct contact with the adhesive. Apply firm pressure for optimal bonding.

Yes. BiTape 510T is a 1.0 mm (40 mil) transparent double sided tape for structural bonding on glass, PMMA and metal. It delivers tensile strength 100 lb/in² (ASTM D-897), 750% elongation, steel adhesion 65 N/2.5 cm at 180° and service range -40 to 248 °F.
Surfaces must be clean and dry before application. Isopropyl alcohol is the recommended cleaner; sand oxidized or flaking substrates. Apply firm pressure across the entire overlap so the 1.0 mm acrylic foam wets out correctly. Low surface energy substrates (PE, PP, silicone, PTFE) require primer or plasma pretreatment.
Yes. The 510T backing is UV-resistant and provides weather sealing within -40 to 120 °C. Dynamic shear at 250 h / 100 % RH holds 72.5 lbf/in²; at 250 h / 176 °F reaches 89.6 lbf/in². Typical outdoor uses: architectural glazing, transparent signage, automotive trims.
BiTape 510T is specified for construction glazing, automotive trims and emblems, graphics industry display mounting, and electronics assembly. This clear double sided tape replaces visible mechanical fasteners in glass, clear plastics and metal assemblies with invisible bond lines.
510T is 1 mm transparent for glass, PMMA and metals with invisible bond lines. 901G is grey 1.1 mm heavy duty for opaque high-load industrial assemblies. 912N is black 2.3 mm structural for thick composite panels. Specify 510T when visual transparency is required.
BiTape 510T ships in standard widths 6, 12, 19, 25 and 50 mm with 33 m roll length. Custom widths and die-cut shapes on request from master rolls up to 450 mm width. Shelf life 12 months from delivery date, stored at 21-25 °C and 50% RH.
BiTape 510T achieves 15 lb/in (6.7 kg/25 mm) peel adhesion on stainless steel at 90° per ASTM D-3330. Testing conditions: 12 in/min pull velocity, 1 in tape width.
BiTape 510T is not recommended for low surface energy substrates without pretreatment: polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), silicone, and PTFE (Teflon). These materials require primer application or plasma surface treatment for reliable bonding.
