Foam Gasket Tape — Application and Handling
Surfaces must be free of dust, grease, oil and water. Use isopropyl alcohol as cleaner on both surfaces. Bond strength depends on surface area in direct contact with the tape. Apply firm pressure for a proper bond.
How to apply BiTape 203N
- Clean the substrate. Surfaces must be free of dust, grease, oil and water. Wipe both surfaces with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. Allow to dry.
- Cut the tape to length. Measure the closure path (door, window, lid). Cut the foam gasket tape with scissors or knife. For corners, use 45° miter cuts to keep continuity.
- Peel the liner. Peel the white release paper progressively, exposing 10-20 cm of adhesive at a time to avoid contamination.
- Apply with firm pressure. Position the tape on the substrate. Press firmly along the entire run, ensuring even contact. Bond strength depends on surface area in direct contact.
- Verify continuity. Inspect the tape run for gaps, lifts or wrinkles. The seal must be continuous to block dust, moisture and air leaks.
We offer slit rolls and die-cut shapes according to your project geometry.
BiTape 203N is available as one sided foam tape, single sided foam tape and PVC foam tape 3mm formats. Request custom widths, die-cuts or master rolls for refrigeration and window sealing.
